    Peterson Trucks Inc. in San Leandro has an immediate opening for a Casual Help.


    The responsibilities include the following:

    • Perform miscellaneous clean-up of shop and yard.
    • Assist the parts, service, and sales departments as needed.
    • Assist with set up and take down with special events.
    • Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
    • Must be able to perform general labor duties as required.
    • Follow all safety procedures.
    • Take care of environmental concerns, wash rack, soil remediation, and other duties as assigned.


    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year of experience in heavy duty parts department warehouse is preferred.
    • Prefer a candidate that is wanting to pursue a technical career with Peterson
    • Must be able to operate a forklift.
    • May be required to operate overhead cranes and other Caterpillar equipment.
    • Must have a good previous work record.
    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English, use repair manuals as needed, and write legibly.
    • Must possess good communication skills.
    • Strong customer service, organizational and multi-tasking abilities are a plus.
    • The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to pull and apply rotation force on stationary and movable objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
