Peterson has an immediate need for an experienced Rental Equipment Technician at our Salem, OR location.  The person in the position performs maintenance, repair and safety inspections on a broad range of construction, industrial and earthmoving rental equipment in a shop setting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to perform inspection of rental check-ins and check-outs on all equipment, prepare equipment for rental.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment and full aerial line of equipment.
  • Monitor, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance to equipment.
  • Maintain rental ready line; prepare equipment for rental.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two-year Diesel Tech degree preferred.  Three to four years experience in heavy and rental equipment repair.  Previous rental equipment repair experience preferred.
