Peterson has an immediate need for an experienced AG Shop Techncian at our Albany, OR location.  The person in the position performs diagnostic evaluations and appropriate repairs in the shop and the field of all makes and models of agricultural equipment for customers and/or sales and rental fleet equipment. 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, diagnose and repair equipment according to manufacturer specifications and Peterson guidelines.
  • Perform pre-delivery setup and installation of all makes and models of agricultural equipment.
  • Write service reports that accurately document activities.
  • Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and time cards in an accurate and timely manner to enable other employees to do their job in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that reflects Peterson core values and promotes a positive working relationship.
  • May occasionally perform service work on other Caterpillar equipment and trucks as needed, such as:  repair, replace or rebuild engines, transmissions, fuel systems, final drives, steering clutches, cross-shafts, hydraulic components including pumps, motors, valves, and all related components, electrical and air systems.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner, following manufacturer and company service guidelines and procedures to ensure quality work and to preserve and document component failure information for accurate failure analysis.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.

 

Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years experience working on agricultural equipment and/or heavy equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
