Peterson has an immediate need for an experienced Rental Coordinator at our Hillsboro, OR location.  Working under general supervision, performs customer service and administrative duties related to rental of equipment at Peterson locations.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and process rental requests
  • Write rental agreements, check on customer’s credit and insurance availability, accurately communicate equipment & attachment availability to internal and external customers, set up transportation of equipment to complete rental transactions
  • Complete rental invoicing
  • Maintain a record of all unfilled (lost) rental requests
  • Maintain a working knowledge competitor’s practices and rental rates
  • Responsibility for maintaining inventory control and security including frequent inventory counts using Imetrix barcode system.
  • Assist in the preparation of rental reports as assigned
  • Foster customer relations to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must wear company provided uniform (shirt) when performing the above mentioned job functions

Qualifications

An Associate’s Degree and two years previous experience in customer facing work.  Experience involving operation of an equipment rental business a plus, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.  Knowledge of equipment applications and transportation requirements.
