Peterson has an immediate need for an experienced Parts Salesperson at our Willits, CA location. The person in the position provides customer assistance to external customers, and internal customers as needed, by researching, pricing, sourcing, and ordering parts.
Provide “Customer First” experience via phone and walk in by understanding customer needs and exceeding their expectations
Make high value recommendations to customers relating to parts and service needs
Maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with established customers and develop new customers
Maintain a working knowledge of company products, services, and parts including their price value relationships
Complete all necessary transaction documents in a timely and accurate manner
Follow up with customers on parts sourcing and the estimated ship dates and arrival of back ordered parts.
Research, recommend, and provide pricing for parts to external customers, and internal customers as needed
Communicate customer needs to the appropriate PSSR
Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs; research and order parts for work orders as required
Solicit assigned accounts by telephone as may be required
Assist in other department activities as assigned by the supervisor
Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance
May be required to work overtime
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years of heavy equipment service parts counter. The knowledge, skills and abilities listed are typically acquired through the levels of education and experience listed. However, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience, which provide an applicant with the listed knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job, is acceptable.
