Peterson has an immediate need for an experienced AG Parts Sales Representative at our Albany, OR location.  The person in the position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to Peterson customers including walk-in, phone-in, or internet. This includes both internal and external customers. The primary focus will be researching, pricing, locating, and delivery of parts.


Understand and interpret walk-in and telephone customer parts requests.

Make high value recommendations to customers relating to parts and service needs.

Maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with both established and new customers.

Maintain a working knowledge of company products, services, and parts including the costs of each.

Complete all necessary transaction documents in a timely and accurate manner.

Research, recommend, and provide pricing for parts to external customers and internal customers as needed.

Maintain current reference material as needed to supplement company information database.

Process credits, make adjustments, and monitor restocking charges on appropriate transactions.

Communicate customer needs to the appropriate Peterson CAT representative or department.

Assist parts department personnel in pulling orders and stocking as needed.

Ability to make simple hydraulic hose configurations in a safe and efficient manner.

Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to trucks, storage, or work areas

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.




  • Must be proficient using business systems and PC software such as Microsoft Windows programs.


High school diploma or equivalent, and two years of experience in Agriculture or equipment industry parts warehouse and/or sales experience.
