Reporting to the General Sales Manager, Peterson’s Earthmoving (EM) Sales Inventory Manager will have responsibility for managing new EM inventory and determining appropriate stocking levels in order to maximize inventory turns and market share. The Manager will work with Finance to forecast inventory and facilitate the process of sending demand signals to major suppliers. The Manager will be a resource for Sales and Finance to produce metrics as needed to analyze performance. The EM Sales Inventory Manager will supervise a team to handle all forecasting, ordering and inventory management of new EM machines and attachments.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Statistics (or related field) and three years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to speak effectively with all stakeholders of the organization both one on one and in a presentation setting.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, ability to apply concepts of statistics, basic algebra, fractions, percentages and ratios to practical situations.
Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail.
