Peterson Power Systems has an immediate need for an experienced Project Manager Intern at our San Leandro, CA location.

Working with the Mission Critical Global Accounts team, the coordinator assists the Project Managers to track and dispense information among all stakeholders internally and externally.

Provide overall administrative support to the project team for the day-to-day activities including but not limited to; initial job set up information and budget input, administration of purchase orders and compliance documents, review of vendor invoices and service reports, change order tracking, job cost review and customer invoice preparation.


    • Own the project account process within specified timelines.
    • Create an update project schedules.
    • Track and manage incoming documents from vendors, clients, field service.
    • Keep detailed project notes from meetings.
    • Liaise with clients and vendors to identify changing job conditions.
    • Oversee project procurement management.
    • Communicate daily with Project Manager(s) for specific needs to eradicate obstacles.
    • Ensure QA/QC procedures are adhered to.
    • Prepare billing packages in accordance with custom P.O. instructions.
    • Keep all stakeholders up to date with appropriate project information.
    • Organize meetings, conference calls, on-line video calls.
    • Research vendors and outside resources.
    • Research local code requirements, schedule inspections.



Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent time management and organizational skills working with minimal supervision.

  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Job requires specialized computer skills.  Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software.
